About Motlow College Athletics
Motlow College is a member of the
Tennessee Community College Athletic Association and participates in Region VII of the
National Junior College Athletic Association.
Four varsity sports make up the athletic department - men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, and softball. Men's basketball is the only sport that was established when the college opened in 1969.
Both basketball teams play their games inside Nisbett Center in the Copperweld Arena. Team locker rooms and coaches' offices are also located inside Nisbett Center.
The baseball team plays its games at the Driver Baseball Complex, while the softball team has an excellent field that has not yet secured corporate naming.
Entrance to all Motlow athletic events is free and there is always a fully-stocked concession stand open that includes hot dogs, popcorn, candy, and soft drinks.
Basketball season traditionally begins in late October or early November and runs through the NJCAA Tournament in late March. Baseball and softball seasons begin in late February or early March and run through the NJCAA tournaments in June.
