Head Coach Andy Lyon is becoming a familiar presence atop the league standings, as his Women's team performs in dominating fashion in their 2019 campaign. Led by Coffee County HS graduate Goal Keeper Ashley Woods, league leading newcomer, Ayline Mateos, and Nashville native, sophomore Emily Vallejo, the team is poised to finish their season during the Conference tournament, held November 1st and 2nd at Columbia State Community College. The team is paced. by these three league leaders in numerous categories, including goals, save percentage and wins. Mateos leads the league with 13 goals on the year, with Vallejo tied for second with 10. Woods leads the league in save percentage (.880) and is currently second in the league in saves with 103.

These ladies have fought hard throughout the season battling injuries and scarce practice field space. Their only losses came to nationally ranked Holmes CC (18th), Itawamba CC, and Columbia State CC, a game where their reserves were forced to play a complete game and without the services of their league leading goal keeper. In their 4th season of competition, Coach Lyon and his team have performed above expectations and look to claim their 2nd Conference title outright. They fully expect to represent the TCCAA at the District Championship in the coming weeks and hope you will find time to come out and support them as they fight for their deserved 2nd Championship.
