Raymon Adams logged a double-double and LaVonte Harris blocked a season-high seven shots, but it wasn't enough as the Bucks fell to Jackson State 71-63 Saturday in Jackson.
Motlow (3-5, 1-3) will travel to Poplar Bluff, MO, to participate in the Thanksgiving Classic held at Three Rivers Community College. The Bucks will play the host team Thanksgiving Day at 7 p.m. Motlow plays Northeastern Oklahoma A&M on Friday at 5 p.m., and finishes its stay on Saturday, facing Northeast Mississippi at 5 p.m.
The Bucks return to conference play when they host Walters State (3-4, 1-2) Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 7:30 p.m. at Copperweld Arena. Admission is free.
Despite outscoring the Green Jays 38-35 in the second half Saturday in Jackson, the Bucks couldn't overcome a 36-25 first-half deficit. Three-point shooting was the downfall for Motlow as they hit only two of 26 attempts.
Adams was dominant inside with 23 points, 12 rebounds, and two steals. Mi'Quan Tucker scored 15 points and added nine rebounds. Harris scored eight to go along with his seven blocks and a team-high 13 rebounds.
Andrew Lamuno had six points with two rebounds and two steals, Debron Russell scored four points and pulled in 11 rebounds, Kane Reed scored three with five rebounds, and Javon Martin and Kolbe Gray each scored two points.
